Requirements for the connection cable of the capacitor discharge spot welder

Capacitor discharge spot welder connection cable is used for secondary connection between the head and welding power source with low secondary current voltage. Usually the current is high while the working voltage is generally below 10V.

Commonly used connection cable specifications are 16 square meters, 25 square, 35 square, 50 square, 70 square, 90 square, 120 square, 150 square and so on. The number of squares and length will affect the output of the welding power source, generally the shorter and thicker one is better. The cable has the following characteristics:

1. Work under low voltage and high current conditions, thereore requiring a certain long-term low resistance characteristics and oxidation resistance.

2. Less than 65 ℃ working temperature and the need for a certain degree of heat dissipation performance.

3. The cable requires softness and excellent bending performance to avoid adverse effects on the pressure applied to the head.

4. With a certain degree of oxidation and corrosion resistance.

5. Excellent heat resistance and deformation is required for long-term use.

6. Lightweight characteristics are required when welding fine workpieces.

The output current size is a crucial factor when it comes to the energy storage spot welder. Excessive current can cause capacitor burning, oxidation, or blackening of the solder joint, while insufficient current can result in low spot welding efficiency. Therefore, users need to be careful when cho
