Aluminum Welding Precautions

Aluminum alloy is widely used in industrial products because of its good physical properties. Almost all welding methods can be used to weld aluminum and aluminum alloy, but aluminum and aluminum alloy have different adaptability to various welding methods, and each welding method has its own applications. However, welding aluminum alloys is still a problem for many manufacturers. In the following paragraphs, we will introduce some precautions for welding aluminum alloys.

1. When welding aluminum alloy, the surface of the aluminum alloy should be cleaned first. There should be no fumes, dust, or any other contaminants. Additionally, thick plate aluminum alloy should be cleaned with a wire brush and then acetone.

2. If the plate is thicker, you can preheat the plate, this can prevent insufficient preheating, which can cause welding to be impenetrable. Use a small current to close the pit in the arc.

3. Welding must be standardized and performed according to the thickness of the plate.

4. If you use welding gun, the welding gun cable should not be too long. Iit is too long, it will cause wire feed instability.
