Spot welding machine installation and maintenance

The welding machine must be properly grounded before use to ensure personal safety. Before using the welding machine, use a 500V megohmmeter to test the insulation resistance between the high-voltage side of the welding machine and the chassis of not less than 2.5 megohms before powering on. When overhauling, cut off the power first before unpacking for inspection. Welding machine should be watered first and then welded, and it is strictly forbidden to work without water. The cooling water should ensure that the industrial water of 5--30 ℃ is supplied under the water inlet pressure of 0.15--0.2MPa. In winter, after the welding machine is finished, the water in the pipeline should be blown out with compressed air to avoid freezing and cracking of the water pipe.

The lead wire of the welding machine should not be too thin or too long, the voltage drop during welding should not be greater than 5% of the initial voltage, and the initial voltage should not deviate from ±10% of the power supply voltage. Gloves, apron and protective glasses should be worn during operation of the welding machine to avoid burns from flying sparks. Sliding parts should be well lubricated, and metal splashes should be removed after use. 24 hours after the new welding machine starts to use, the screws of each part should be tightened once, especially the connecting screws between the copper flexible coupling and the electrode must be tightened well, and the oxidation between the electrode rod and the electrode arm should be removed frequently after use. to ensure good contact.

When the welding machine is used, if it is found that the AC contactor does not pull in properly, it means that the grid voltage is too low. The user should first solve the power supply problem and use it after the power supply is normal. It should be pointed out that if there is a quality problem with the main part of the newly purchased welding machine within half a month, it can be replaced with a new welding machine or the main part. The main part of the welding machine is guaranteed for one year, and maintenance services are provided for a long time. Under normal circumstances, after the user informs the manufacturer, the service will be in place within three to seven days depending on the distance. Welding machine damage caused by the user is not covered by the warranty. Wearing parts and consumable parts are not covered by the warranty.

Since the contact area of the electrode determines the current density, and the resistivity and thermal conductivity of the electrode material are related to the generation and dissipation of heat, the shape and material of the electrode have a significant impact on the formation of the nugget. As the electrode tip deforms and wears, the contact area increases and the strength of the solder joint will decrease. Oxides, dirt, oil and other impurities on the workpiece surface increase the contact resistance. An overly thick oxide layer can even prevent current flow. Local conduction, due to excessive current density, will produce splashes and surface burns. The presence of the oxide layer also affects the non-uniformity of heating of each solder joint, causing fluctuations in solder quality. Therefore, thorough cleaning of the workpiece surface is a necessary condition to ensure high-quality joints.
