Tier 1 Supplier

Challenge:

A Tier 1 customer needed to increase production capacity and improve the weld quality of their products while producing automotive B-pillars at a lower cost.

Solution:

In order to solve the customer's problem, we collaborated with the research team to by improve the welding process. We introduced the medium voltage capacitor storage resistance welding technology, using customized capacitors (lower ESR, ESL), resulting in slower capacitor decay, lower heat generation and longer service life.

Economic Impact:

Increased weld quality: - voltage control accuracy can reach 1V, ensuring stable and controllable quality of finished product;

Social Impact

Safer welding process – good rigidity makes it less likely for parts to slip when welding;

Environmental Impact:

Shorter charging time - reducing energy consumption.
