During the welding process, the shape of the welded part under the action of an uneven temperature field is called welding deformation, and the change with temperature is called welding transient deformation; the change of the welded part when it cools sufficiently to the initial temperature is called welding residual deformation. The capacitor discharge welder consists of a controller, discharge transformer, charge transformer, capacitor and a high strength body to store the required welding energy and release the set high current in a split second (10-15) ms. In terms of waveform, it is a very steep tip waveform.
Hazards of welding deformation: Welding deformation has a great impact on the installation accuracy of the structure, and excessive deformation can limit the load-bearing capacity of the structure. The deformation of welded working parts can usually be divided into thermal deformation and deformation of welded working parts, and also into fusion deformation of spot welding joints. The capacitor discharge welder can effectively cope with the welding deformation.
Welding is performed in an instant. Due to the short welding time and concentrated heat, the heat generated during the welding process is quickly carried away from the workpiece. Therefore, most welded workpieces do not see the effects of heat and their appearance is not deformed.
