How to troubleshoot common faults of spot welding machines?

In the process of operating the spot welding machine, you will inevitably encounter some malfunctioning problems. If such problems are not solved in time, they will inevitably affect the spot welding efficiency and extend the welding cycle. Therefore, you should not panic when encountering problems. We You can maintain the spot welding machine regularly, which will reduce the incidence of failures. Learn some troubleshooting methods every day. I believe you will be able to solve problems when you encounter them. Below, Zhejiang Haojing spot welding machine manufacturer will share with you some spot welding methods. Common machine faults and fault solutions:

1. The spot welder does not work when the foot pedal is pressed, and the power indicator light does not light up.

(1) Check whether the power supply voltage is normal; check whether the control system is normal.

(2) Check the foot switch contacts. Replace the contact contacts. Check whether the split shift switch has poor contact or is burned out.

2. The power indicator light is on and the workpiece is pressed tightly but not welded.

(1) Check whether the foot pedal stroke is in place and whether the foot switch has good contact.

(2) Check whether the pressure rod spring screw is adjusted properly.

3. The spot welder shows undue spatter during welding.

(1) Check whether the electrode tip is oxidized or stressed.

(2) Check whether the welding workpiece is seriously rusted or has poor contact.

(3) Check whether the adjustment switch is set too high.

(4) Check whether the electrode pressure is too small and whether the welding procedure is accurate.

4. The spot welding machine has tight indentations and extrusions.

(1) Check whether the current is too large.

(2) Check whether the welding workpiece is uneven.

(3) Check whether the electrode pressure is too large and whether the shape and cross-section of the electrode head are appropriate.

5. The welding workpiece of the spot welder is not strong enough

(1) Check whether the electrode pressure is too small and check whether the electrode rod is tightened properly.

(2) Check whether the welding energy is too small and whether the welding workpiece is severely corroded, causing poor contact between the solder joints.

(3) Check the electrode head and electrode rod. Whether there is too much oxide between the electrode rod and the electrode arm.

(4) Check whether the cross section of the electrode tip increases due to wear, resulting in a reduction in welding energy.

(5) Check whether the joint surface of the electrode and the copper soft connection is seriously oxidized.

6. The exchange contactor makes abnormal noise when the spot welder is welding.

(1) Check whether the incoming line voltage of the AC contactor is 300 volts lower than its own release voltage during welding.

(2) Check whether the power supply lead is too thin or too long, causing the line voltage drop to be too large.

(3) Check whether the network voltage is too low and cannot work normally.

(4) Check whether there is a short circuit in the main transformer, causing the current to be too large
